[STORY] as a radio host, I want to be able to delete my category / genre entries in the General Show Info section, so I can clear fields that I may have mistakenly filled out

On the show info page, users have the ability to fill out global metadata info about their show (genre, format etc.). If the fields "Category" and "genre" have been filled out wrongly, the UI does not allow to empty them completely or select "none" (e.g. if someone mistakenly filled out the Genre field for a non-music show). Selecting an item and deleting it produces a "wird gespeichert" dialog but then then input does not get deleted. see screenshots.

I tried with the current dashboard version and this is no longer reproducible so I close it.

After a little investigation this seems to be a bug in steering:

The following request payload has been sent to steering:

# PATCH /steering/api/v1/shows/34/

}

Steering then returned the following payload with the response:

  "categoryIds": [4],
  ...
}

ID 4 was the last remaining category id before sending the PATCH request. The same behaviour applies to other relation fields like musicFocusIds, topicIds, languageIds, and hostIds.

I’m moving this issue to steering.
