Simplify configuration of values for Aura Web Docker Compose
Currently the configuration of these values sometimes cause confusion and misconfiguration:
# Change to your custom domain name
AURA_HOST_NAME=aura.local
# Set to http if you don't want to use TLS
# AURA_HOST_PROTO=http
# Disable if you want to handle ssl yourself (e.g if you are deploying behind a reverse proxy)
# AURA_HOST_CERTBOT_ENABLE=false
People seem to mistake the AURA_HOST_PROTO
settings as enabling disabling HTTPS/TLS within AURA. Instead it signifies the public URL, no matter if the cert is provided by AURA or some reverse proxy in front of AURA:
Proposal
Instead of setting AURA_HOST_NAME
and AURA_HOST_PROTO
separately, merge them to the typical setting of a AURA_BASE_URL
, which combines protocol and domain name.
