I propose to add language and topic fields to the note model, similarly to the way the Show and the language and topic are linked.

Yes, it should be on the Note model.

Please do not edit finalized spec anymore, as discussed in the last Team Meeting. AEP05 got shipped with alpha-2 and should not change it's Done state anymore. Please compare the Roadmap for reference. Why not describing the changes here in the ticket? It's much easier for discussion, to keep simple additions in the ticket.

The implementation in steering is done in the develop branch and there is Episode / Note dialog to optionally allow custo... (dashboard#189 - closed), therefore I'm closing this issue.

By mistake I added language and topic to the Timeslot model and serializer.

This is now fixed: both fields are in the Note model and serializer.
