Regarding the scope of this ticket I see two different aspects / usecases here:

• providing a UI for adding metadata to an audio file after its upload (this would be an addition to the Media Management>Files Page)
• providing an UI for adding metadata/info to a playlist (which seems to me it could be like an extension to the Show Note, or an edit function for each playlist on the Media Management>Playlists page) - if the playlist contains several audio files, their already present metadata could be shown and edited

which one was intended? Or do we want/need both? maybe @david and @eigenwijsje can clarify

TBC: re-check priority and specs with radios, what exactly is the core need and if this really needs to be fully delivered prior to 1.0 or 1.1

Artist, title and album can all be edited with the new playlist editor. Please check if that already fulfills the requirements of this ticket.

if I understand the scope of this issue right, it would make sense to add a CRUD UI for entering playlist info on the episode editor page. The ProKos asked if it was possible to have the following metadata fields: artist, title, album, language, label, plus some free field for users to define (e.g. for entering "opus numbers" for classical musictracks). Also a field "austrian music" was requested (this is rather specific, due to future changes in legislation radios could be possibly forced to fulfil quotas for austrian/non-austrian productions and thus it could be necessary to collect data on how much austrian music is played in the program).

Another request was to observe compatibility with the CBA playlist editor (in CBA, users can enter AKM-licensed music titles in a spearate editor, this editor takes composer/artist and title).

@fm_margarethem can you please share a screenshot of the CBA playlist editor?

here it is, the track info is coupled with licensing info (AKM / creative commons). Only basic metadata are asked.

This is now implemented at positioned below the media uploader on the episode page. I’m not really sure if users will know what to input here though.
